Do you get tired easily in the mid-afternoon? Though it may seem tempting to get a quick fix in the form of an energy drink or a sugary snack from the vending machine, preventing an energy slump from occurring in the first place starts with a full night ofquality sleep and a healthy breakfast in the morning.
Once you've had a healthy breakfast, don't forget to have a healthy lunch, either. Having a modestly portioned lunch high in protein and low in carbohydrates (like a chicken salad) will help your body maintain its energy for the rest of the day.
Other measures to avoid and get through the dreaded midday energy slump include hydrating yourself, taking meditation breaks, chewing gum, taking a short walk in the sunlight, or even taking your shoes and socks off to roll your toes.
